With over 20 years of world music and vocal performance experience, Renée acquired a B.A. in Music with a specialization in Vocal Performance at Mills College (www.mills.edu), where she studied vocal improvisation with Molly Holm (www.mollyholm.com) in the ensemble Flux.
Since then she has continued to study and perform vocal improvisation with Molly and others at a variety of events in the Bay Area. A certified and seasoned Music Together teacher (www.eastbaymusictogether.com) she has been joyfully leading children and families in facilitated musical experiences since 2001.
Renée has supported ritual through song for over ten years in the Lakota-Sioux ceremonial tradition, with The Orpheus Ensemble, (www.souldrumming.com/soulwork.html) and most recently in the local Jewish Renewal community. (www.chochmat.org).
